Chief Operating Officer

Dr. Caroline Kisia joined SHOFCO as a Chief Operating Officer in July 2021. Caroline is a demonstrated leader in health and development programs, with extensive experience in organizational leadership and management, partnership building, and execution of complex strategies. Caroline is responsible for ensuring that SHOFCO delivers on her ambitious plan to achieve grassroots-led slum transformation at a national scale. She leads SHOFCO towards this long-term goal, with a focus on guiding SHOFCO’s approach to government relations, partner-led service delivery, and resource mobilization. Caroline oversees day-to-day organizational performance in programs, development, and operations, and provides overall support to the CEO in the area of forward-work planning, execution, and evaluation.
Prior to SHOFCO, she led a regional non-profit organization working with disadvantaged communities including refugee populations. Before that, she set up and grew a consortium of health non-profits working with the Kenyan Ministry of Health. She is results-oriented, with demonstrated achievements in multi-country expansion and managing rapidly growing organizations.
