TVET Scholarships

We are excited you are applying for the SHOFCO Vocational Skills Scholarship program. Before completing the application form, please read the information below carefully.

Fill out the application form as clearly and as completely as possible. Only complete applications will be considered, and admission into the program is based on a competitive selection process. During the Application, candidates will be expected to come with copies of National Identity card.

The program aims to create and support new and existing enterprises in the informal sector through vocational training. The program intends to increase enterprises’ expansion and formalization to create employment and business opportunities. The program focuses on the following sectors but is not limited to them due to the diversity of changes within the world:

1. Agribusiness
2. Automotive Engineering
3. Beauty/Hairdressing
4. Textile (Fashion & Design)
5. Building and Construction
6. Hospitality

To qualify for the SHOFCO Skilling Program, all applicants must fulfill the criteria below:

• Must be 18-35 years Old
• Must Have a National Identity Card
• Must have attended and completed the 5 days of Entrepreneurship and Job Readiness skills training at SHOFCO (as verified through the SL database).
• Must agree to complete 2 days of sessions (career guidance, course matching) session with SL.
• Must be able to provide basic training materials e.g. school uniforms and safety learning gears; and cover their health insurance cost.
• Must agree and commit to take up a National grade test certification.
• Parents/Guardian should be willing to support the youth with other training needs e.g. School Uniform, Transport, and other personal materials.

SHOFCO only caters to tuition fees, material fees, and examination fee. The program is FREE OF CHARGE and any client found involved in any corruption will lead to disqualification.
