Education Director
Hecky is currently serving as Education Director for SHOFCO Schools. He is a resourceful and skilled Education/HR/Administration Professional with demonstrated success in teaching, motivating, and directing students/staff/parents while maintaining high interest and achievement. He is highly skilled in education, hr, and administration, and has demonstrated success in teaching, motivation, and directing. Mr. Odera tackles his work with a high level of interest and achievement. He was also Head of Academics and teacher of Numeracy/Literacy at Makini School offering Kenyan Curriculum.
He joined SHOFCO in March 2017. Though he had always worked in very high-end schools, the drive to serve humanity, touch lives and make a difference in the lives of less fortunate children in our society led him to SHOFCO. Reading the book “Find me unafraid” by Kennedy and Jessica, made his resolve to join SHOFCO and help make a difference irresistible. He would want the schools to become model centres of education that positively impact the lives of girls in the country, teachers properly trained to design, implement and evaluate SHOFCO curriculum in the most creative, efficient and effective way. To be graduating girls who have strong life skills to solve problems in our society, girls who are critical thinkers and leaders in their own making. I envision SHOFCO schools spreading through the country and boasting of quality model education that will be emulated by the government and private sector.
Hecky is a strong reader of motivational and management books, he loves cooking traditional African dishes, watching football, and mentoring youths in his church during his free time.
