Operations & Program Director
Patrick is the Operations and Program Director at SHOFCO’s headquarters in Nairobi. He has over 18 years of international NGO experience leading the design and implementation of development programs in the areas of child rights, governance, health, HIV and AIDS, livelihood, and general humanitarian interventions. Additionally, Patrick has over 10 years of experience creating Monitoring and Evaluation systems for various organizations such as USAID, CIDA, Care International, Plan International and UNICEF.
Before his career in nonprofit work, Patrick completed the Kenya A-Levels in 1981 at Tindinyo Senior Seminary and then became the first Head Master of Mau Summit Mission Secondary School, a school he grew from 10 to 200 pupils. In 1983 Patrick attended Nairobi University and graduated with a BA in Economics. Following university, Patrick was employed by the Ministry of Economic Planning as an Economist, and he was then sponsored by the Kenyan Government for a post-graduate course at Nairobi University to study Econometrics, Development Economics, International Economics, planning techniques, and development strategies. Finally, Patrick completed a Master of Public Health at Kenyatta University, specifically majoring in Public Policy and Health Economics.
