Mathare Administrator Coordinator
Belinda Oluoch is the Administration Coordinator at SHOFCO Mathare. Before joining SHOFCO, she worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Tuungane Youth Project-Impact RDO in Kisumu. She then joined Develoment Media International as a Media Monitor. In 2012, she worked as a receptionist at Naiberi River Campsite and Resort in Eldoret.
Later, she moved back to Nairobi and joined SHOFCO Mathare 4B Youth Group after being introduced by a close friend and wanting to pursue her great passion of contributing to youth initiatives in the community. It is here where Kennedy Odede gave her an opportunity as youth from Mathare to work with SHOFCO. She first joined SHOFCO as a data clerk, then moved to the Clinic as a receptionist before finally transitioning to her current role.
Belinda has a diploma in Information Technology and has also done short professional courses on life skills and youth-friendly services (by ADRA) and effective parenting skills of the Families Matter program (Organised by CDC and Impact RDO).
Working with SHOFCO has given her an opportunity to pursue her dream degree in Business Administration (Procurement and supplies chain management option), which she looks forward to doing soon. Her hobbies include: swimming, acting and reading.
