Matt Chanoff is a San Francisco-based angel investor and co-founder of the startup studio Flashpoint. He has served on the boards of early-stage companies in logistics and cyber security and currently sits on eight non-profit boards in the areas of poverty, media, and education. Prior to his investment career, Matt was a management consultant in the electronics manufacturing industry, and served as chief economist for Technology Forecasters Inc. Previously, he directed the Asia program for the National Endowment for Democracy and was a speechwriter for Senator Paul Simon of Illinois. He has a Master’s of Arts degree in International Economics and Politics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
